John Taylor Trio

John Taylor – Piano
Palle Daniellson – Bass
Martin France – Drums

More respected in Europe than in his home country(he is currently professor of jazz piano at the Cologne College of music), John Taylor is one of the greatest musicians the UK has produced. A towering genius of the piano and a brilliant composer, he stands comparison with the late Bill Evans (and in fact his 2003 trio featured Marc Johnson – Bill Evan’s last bass player). Among  living pianists perhaps the appropriate comparison is with Keith Jarrett and Brad Mehldau. In a  welcome return to the Crucible Studio he appears with his exciting new trio featuring Palle Danielsson (bass), and Martin France (drums). Expect to hear dazzling interplay, moments of sheer beauty, and a rhythmic energy that will have  you bouncing off your seats!
