Jarvis Cocker book signing!
Jarvis Cocker comes home to Sheffield for an exclusive book signing at Waterstones in Orchard Square this Thursday.
His new book, Mother, Brother, Lover, features an amalgamation of sixty six lyrics which span his thirty year career, from Pulp classics to unreleased material.
While this book may not be used to plug his poetry (unlike the side of Sheffield Hallam University accommodation The Forge- which features his poem Trashed on Cider from 2005), it is nevertheless a rich collection of his finest works, and it also features an essay composed by Cocker on the art of songwriting.
He kicked off his promotion of the book on October 6th, when he treated schoolchildren at his old secondary school, The City School, (where he performed his first gigs) to a mini performance as well as a question and answer session in what surely has to go down as possibly the greatest school assembly in the highly decorated history of school assemblies.
Jarvis Cocker will be at Waterstones in Orchard Square on Thursday 27th October from 5:30pm, get there early as it's sure to be a massive event, and please note he shall only be signing copies of Mother, Brother, Lover, and no other memorabilia 🙁
