Hot Soles @ Tramlines
Review of Hot Soles at Tramlines 2014.
For the fourth year running, Sheffield rock and rollers, Hot Soles, returned to the festival to once more to blow our mind, and they certainly did not fail. The duo gave the crowd everything you could ask for. And most importantly they were having fun themselves. They played songs that got the crowd jumping which included a hugely well received cover of the legendary ‘Rock and Roll’ by Led Zeppelin. The band belted out an incredible 30 minute set, with their songs showing a mixture of instrumental technical talent and pure showmanship. Singer Kieran Wardle did the job of getting a reaction from the crowd with his strong vocals which gave a fresh sound to traditional song writing. Since they formed back in 2010, the band have been either touring or writing, and this showed in their performance, which displayed raw talent and a genuine love of music.
