Going Underground: Tank

Exposed gets the lowdown on Tank – Sheffield’s ultimate underground house music venue.

Hidden snugly away in Arundel Gate lies a true gem of the city’s underground club scene – in the form of Tank.
To date, Tank has played host to some of the biggest names on the house scene – the likes of  Tchami, Hannah Wants, Amine Edge & Dance, Zinc, Monki, Kove, Low Steppa, Grant Nelson, Martin Ikin, Tough Love and many, many more.
Based on the New York City subway, the striking interior has been designed by Steel Ink – whilst graffiti artwork by local lad Trik9 adds a further urban edge. Truly an underground club in every way, descend below the city’s streets and you’ll find Sheffield’s biggest Function One sound system, a state of the art LED lighting rig, 3 bars – and even a subway train!
Playing only the finest in underground house, from the best in the business, take your pick of the three nights on offer – and discover for yourself why Tank is currently the talk of the town.
