Food Fight Against Cancer

At last a food fight we can really get behind! TV chefs James Martin and Brian Turner are bringing the noisettes to The Crucible for a one-off event to help a leading cancer charity raise vital funds…
On February 4th, the Yorkshire-born celebrity chefs will battle it out over hot stoves at The Crucible in front of a live audience with BBC Look North’s Christa Ackroyd acting as referee – all in aid of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
James, who is well known for his popular BBC 1 cookery show Saturday Kitchen and Strictly Come Dancing, is joining forces with Ready Steady Cook star Brian as part of the Food Fight Against Cancer.
The event sees The Crucible undergo another transformation in a year that's involved a thrilling new in-house production of MacBeth, Radio 5's Octoberfest, another successful World Snooker Championship – and an appearance in these pages as venue for a very special In Session with The Crookes. But February's Food Fight Against Cancer really turns up the heat as The Crucible hosts a pair of bespoke kitchens for chat, inside stories of the world of celebrity cheffing – and a cookery lesson!
Tickets for the Food Fight Against Cancer are priced £45 and available from The Crucible Box Office here.
