FANCIE Designing A Cupcake For Dad?

Meadowhall’s cupcake boutique, Fancie, is launching an exclusive competition asking the children of Yorkshire to design a limited edition cupcake to help celebrate Father’s Day on June 19th.

The winning design will be created and go on sale in Fancie’s Meadowhall store on Friday 3rd June, just in time for Father’s Day.

The competition launched on Tuesday May 3rd and will run until Friday May 20th. To take part, children of all ages simply need to create their design in colour on an A4 sheet of paper and take it to the Fancie store in Meadowhall. From the entries received, four semi-finalists will be announced, who will be invited to attend a workshop session at Meadowhall on Saturday 28th May when the overall winner will be decided.

Amanda Perry, founder and owner of Fancie, said: “We have seen that cupcakes are often more popular around Mother’s Day than Father’s Day, but trust us – dads love a good cake too! So we have decided to ask the children of Yorkshire to help us design a cupcake that will be more appealing to the men of the region. One lucky winner will be able to give their dad the ultimate present – a cupcake that was inspired by him!”
