Dream Girl at City Hall

Soul superstar and founding member of The Supremes, Mary Wilson is set to perform at Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday 2nd March 2011 as part of a stunning UK tour.

The founding member of the 60’s Motown girl group looks forward to wow-ing Sheffielders with music from her successful solo career as well as well-known Supremes hits such as ‘Baby Love,’ ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ and ‘You Keep Me Hanging On.’

Wilson, the longest running member of the soul group, has experienced a new wave of interest following the release of the award-winning musical Dream Girls in 2006, and is now looking to advocate the group’s Motown legacy.  She now sings soothing jazz and blues, and has also become a driving force in a number of humanitarian and charitable causes.

The Dream Girl will be joined by special guests The Chi-Lites, who made a name for themselves in Chicago in the 50’s, with hit singles such as ‘Give It Away’ and ‘I Found Sunshine.’

Tickets are on sale now, costing just £27.50 and available at www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk or from 01142 789 789.
