Doncaster Dome Month of Comedy

Doncaster’s having a laugh this month. Literally…

During the whole of February, Donny Dome is playing host to a bunch of emerging and acclaimed comedians that are guaranteed to give you a good old rib-tickling.

Simon Brodkin’s popular alter-ego Lee Nelson (Feb 1) starts off the month, well known for his comedy sketch show Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show.

Stay away if easily offended, Roy Chubby Brown (Feb 7) is another big name and is back in town with a barrage of rude, crude and mickey-taking banter. Just don’t bring your mother-in-law. Or girlfriend. Or anyone born after 1970 for that matter.

With many TV appearances including, QI, Big Fat Quiz of Year northern comedian Jason Manford is another household name and promises high class comedic anecdotes and observations. He plays the Dome on the 8th and is sure to be one of the big draws.

Meanwhile, fresh from a sell-out Edinburgh festival run, Tom Wrigglesworth may be lesser known but no lesser sublime. He’s in town on the 9th while emerging talent Joe Lycett brings his subversive comedy and cheeky charm on the 23rd.

Seann Walsh has been no stranger to television with appearances on C4’s ‘Stand up for the week’, BBC’s ‘Live at the Apollo’ and Dave’s ‘Argumental’. His precocious storytelling ability will no doubt prove why he’s the Lie-in King.

And finally, Jongleurs Comedy Club wraps up Doncaster’s spectacular ‘Month of Comedy’ with a couple of stints at the Icebreaker Bar. It all adds up to a hilarious 28 days in Doncaster – which isn’t something you can say very often.
