Corporal Punishment

In need of some heavy duty noise therapy? Well you’re in luck, my friends.

Corporation is gearing up for the fourth and final heat of this year’s Battle Of The Bands, taking place on Monday 9 July. The groups crossing guitars this time are hard rockers Perfect Crimes, Chesterfield punks Keplunk, noiseniks Surviving Savannah, hardcore beserkers Raising Wolves and scuzz hounds Money Shot.

The prize? A place in the Grand Final, which takes place on Saturday 14 July at Corp. The lucky bands who have already made it through are metalcore unit Fates Upon Us, psychobilly thrashers Steve And The Raise, and melodic metal heads Epitaph.

Corp’s Stuart Turner said ‘Every heat so far has been really close, with each band winning by one or two points. I’m really looking forward to seeing what heat four has to offer.' He added ‘I have been really impressed with the quality of the bands involved. Their performances have proved to me that this neck of the woods has a thriving music scene!’

The winners of the Grand Final will get £250 in cash and Corp gig tickets. Also, Yorkshire Tee will knock up some snazzy band merch for the victorious band!
Tickets for Monday’s heat are £5. Doors open at 7pm.
