City Hall Has Heritage

Fancy treading the same stage as Jimi Hendrix? Hanging out in the same dressing room as The Beatles? Perhaps even using the same toilet as Led Zeppelin? This month, you get the chance to do just that.

As part of English Heritage’s Open Day programme across the UK, Sheffield City Hall will be opening its doors and welcoming in the general public on Saturday September 11.
It’s a once-a-year chance to discover the hidden treasures of a venue which played host to a plethora of iconic legends and modern day heroes.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore areas of the City Hall that are normally off limits to the public, such as the backstage corridors, dressing rooms, and the Oval Hall stage. Guided tours will be on offer at 11am and 1pm, visiting all areas of the building right down to the Grand Ballroom, and providing little known facts along the way. To book your place, call the Box Office on 01142233701. See www.sheffieldcityhall.co.uk for more.
