Blood, Guts and Fairy Cakes!
Midsummer tea parties with a twist are being held this June throughout England, including 3 in South Yorskshire on the 18th and 19th.
Historic churches that no longer get used are playing host to summer tea parties in order for people to explore the fascinating buildings and learn about their gory history. Any funds raised go towards the hosting church and to the Church Conservation Trust.
As well as learning about the churches, visitors can also take part in a mad-hatter themed party; unfortunately Johnny Depp won’t be there.
The events welcome all the family and will include cake-making demonstrations, art exhibitions and art fairs. It’s also free to take part, although a small donation will be asked to cover your tea and cake!
