A Good Cause

A local GP is doing more than his fair share to help the needy this month. Having conquered the Sheffield Half Marathon, budding runner Martin Billington has set his sights on the London Marathon.

But he does not do this just for the self gratification. In 2009 Martin raised a massive £3,500 for the Breast Cancer Campaign, and aims to out do that fete by over-coming the 26.2 mile course in London.

On Sunday 17, Martin aims to reach his fundraising target of £5,000 in support of two of his close friends recently diagnosed with the condition. It seems all of Sheffield is behind Martin, Paul Bloomfield, MP for Sheffield Central said “I wish him well with his fundraising and good luck for the run”.

So get behind Martin and his campaign, to donate and help with his efforts go to www.justgiving.com/Martin-Billington.
