Dan Shake, Horse Meat Disco, MiNNA and Theon Bower are heading to Sheffield this November for a huge new house and disco night at Electric Studios.

Taking place on Friday 6 November, the event marks the Sheffield launch of Fever 105, bringing together some serious names from across the UK house and disco scene alongside a Room 2 takeover from Sheffield party starters La Rumba.

Mike Weller from Electric Studios said: “Electric Studios is being built around ambitious, artist-led programming, and this line-up is a strong example of that. Bringing Dan Shake, Horse Meat Disco, MiNNA and Theon Bower together alongside a La Rumba Room 2 takeover gives Sheffield a major house and disco date with real depth across the bill.”

Leading the line-up is Dan Shake, the London DJ and producer who became the first artist from outside Detroit to release on Moodymann’s influential Mahogani Music label. Since breaking through with 3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin’ in 2014, he’s built a reputation for high-energy sets pulling together house, funk, disco, soul and acid.

He’ll be joined by Horse Meat Disco, the much-loved London DJ collective who have grown from their long-running Sunday residency at The Eagle in Vauxhall into an international club institution, taking their mix of disco, house, funk, soul and Italo to dancefloors and festivals around the world.

Also on the bill is fast-rising London selector MiNNA, whose uplifting sets move between ’70s disco, old-school house and vocal-driven dance music. Recent years have seen her play everywhere from fabric and KOKO to Glastonbury, Lost Village and Houghton Festival.

Completing the first wave of names is Fever 105 founder Theon Bower, a South London DJ, producer and head of Swung Out Records whose selections span the house spectrum.

The Sheffield date also sees La Rumba take over Room 2, adding some homegrown flavour to an already stacked bill.

Fever 105 takes place at Electric Studios on Friday 6 November. Further details are set to be announced, with early access available now.
