On Saturday 29 August, Lane7 opened the doors to its second Sheffield location. The games room, that can be found on The Avenue (Lower) in Meadowhall, brings competitive gaming accompanied by cocktails and food to the former clubhouse unit in Meadowhall. The brand has called Sheffield home since opening on Matilda Street in 2019 and has been itching to bring Lane7 to the shopping centre for some time.

After announcing the Clubhouse was closing, Meadowhall was feeling the absence of the entertainment bar, and for Lane7, securing a spot at the destination has been on the cards for a while

Gavin Hughes, Managing Director at Lane7, said: “We already have a venue in Sheffield and we know how much the city loves Lane7 – so opening at Meadowhall feels like the next chapter. We can’t wait to get the doors open.”

Visitors spent the bank holiday weekend competing in games including shuffleboard and mini golf as well as bowling, darts and pool. With cocktails flowing and food served by Fat Hippo, Lane7 are redefining what a night out looks like.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, commented: “Lane7 is already a firm favourite with people across Sheffield so it’s brilliant for us to be opening a second venue at Meadowhall – we have no doubt it will prove hugely popular.’

For those looking for a date night venue or planning a Christmas do, Lane7 could hold the answers you need. You can book via their website and follow them on Instagram.
