One of Sheffield’s most acclaimed venues is heading to Hillsborough Stadium, with award-winning cocktail bar Public partnering with Sheffield Wednesday to launch a premium new matchday experience inspired by Owls legend Albert Quixall.

Named the Quixall Club by Public, the new hospitality offering represents a fresh approach to football hospitality, blending Public’s renowned drinks programme with elevated dining, premium seating and a social atmosphere designed to bring supporters together before, during and after matches.

For Public, which has earned national recognition for its inventive cocktails and regularly features among the UK’s best bars, the move marks a significant expansion beyond its city-centre home, bringing its expertise to one of Sheffield’s most iconic sporting venues.

Located within Hillsborough Stadium, the Quixall Club takes its name from Wednesday great Albert Quixall and aims to combine the traditions of matchday with a more contemporary hospitality experience.

Guests will enjoy access to a premium inclusive bar curated by Public’s mixologists, featuring bespoke cocktails alongside signature champagnes and wines. The food offering centres around a refined grazing-style menu of locally sourced small plates, while premium padded armchair seating adjacent to the Directors’ Box promises some of the best views in the stadium.

Beyond the match itself, the experience has been designed as a social destination, with pre-match entertainment, a relaxed lounge environment and post-match access, allowing guests to continue celebrations long after the final whistle.

The package also includes an official matchday programme and team sheet, complimentary parking and an invitation to continue the evening at Hirsty’s Social following the game.

Seasonal memberships for the Quixall Club by Public are priced at £4,995 + VAT and include guaranteed seats for all league home fixtures, alongside preferential rates on additional hospitality places.

The launch of Quixall Club by Public is also one of the clearest signs yet of Sheffield Wednesday’s ambitions under new ownership. Since completing their takeover earlier this year, the club’s leadership has spoken about modernising the matchday experience, strengthening commercial revenues and re-establishing Wednesday as one of the biggest brands in English football.

The new hospitality concept forms part of a broader premium offering at Hillsborough, combining local partnerships, upgraded facilities and elevated experiences designed to attract both supporters and corporate guests as the club looks to begin a new chapter on and off the pitch.
