Football fans across Sheffield are being promised big screens, packed fan zones and tournament atmosphere this summer as True North Brew Co prepares to host matches across its venues during this year’s international tournament.
The Sheffield hospitality group is transforming several of its bars and pubs into football hotspots throughout the competition, with dedicated fan zones a multiple big screens planned across the city.
Leading the line-up is The Ballroom, where every England fixture will be shown across multiple screens, including giant displays and one of the city’s largest outdoor fan zones. The venue’s car park will also be converted into a large-scale viewing area featuring a huge LED screen for supporters to watch matches together.
Meanwhile, The Common Room is preparing for another busy tournament period. The sports bar has more than 50 TV screens throughout the venue, with private viewing spaces available for fans wanting to book ahead for key fixtures.
In Mosborough, The British Oak will also host its own outdoor fan zone, giving supporters extra space to enjoy matches throughout the tournament.
Other venues across the True North Brew Co group, including The Old Grindstone, Forum, Riverside and The Broadfield, will also be screening matches on a first come, first served basis.
A spokesperson for True North Brew Co said: “There’s nothing quite like tournament football in Sheffield. Whether you’re watching in one of our fan zones, booking your own private viewing area, or joining hundreds of other fans for the big England games, we want our venues to be the best places in the city to experience the World Cup together.
“The atmosphere is going to be incredible and hopefully we’ll all be celebrating deep into the tournament.”
