Introducing In Session Live
22nd Aug 2012
So, In Session then...
Three amazing tracks every month by the likes of Hey Sholay, Hot Soles and Algiers. Brand new, previously unrecorded songs. Never before heard cover versions. Filmed and photographed by the likes of Mark Bull and Timm Cleasby, all delivered free and straight to your eyes and ears via the magic of YouTube...
It’s just not enough, is it?
That’s where In Session Live comes in. Sunday 9th September sees the first of our regular FREE weekly chilled gigs in the luxurious and boho surroundings of The Forum. It's a downtown, stripped back take on In Session showcasing previous stars, future guests and out-of-towners we love - complete with a title that's just the right side of oxymoronic!
So if catching the likes of Algiers, Feelix and September's In Session star Oxo Foxo appeals, you might want to scoot along. Sunday 16th is actually curated by Oxo Foxo herself and with Algiers and Neal Heppleston & Jim Ghedi (as well as Oxo) on the bill it's likely to be a highlight. Luckily, if it all goes a bit Alt-J at The Bowery you can scoot to the website and watch it on the black mirror. Aren't we nice?
There's more info in September’s Exposed magazine, and we’ll be tweeting live from the first session and Oxo’s night at the very least (Silent Devices look good too, thinking about it. Check out their video for 'Una' below...) but if you want to know more straight away the good people at Big Live Event have put together an In Session Live Twitter feed to get all the latest. Or click here to read about the very first show...
