The highly fancied, John McClure-mentored, Liberty Ship will no doubt be a draw on the Friday, and Gallaghered five-piece Kartica bring the noise on Saturday with other highlights including The Monday Club, Blind Drivers and Sour Cherry.
As well as these worthy troubadours, Sheffield Sound will host a raft of artists and DJs doing their thing. The organisers are beavering like crazy to finalise the line-up, with a top secret city centre location currently being finalised.
So if you didn’t get enough of a local music fix at Tramlines, Sheffield Sound will give you a much needed booster jab. Find out more at the official Sheffield Sound Festival twitter feed here. Tickets will be available from artists involved and a selection of Sheffield outlets priced at £5 per day and £8 for the weekend.
