Tramlines 2017: First Line-up Announcement!
It has been announced today that iconic indie quartet The Libertines will headline Tramlines Festival 2017.
The band will join ska legends Toots and The Maytals and R&B group All Saints on the Ponderosa Main Stage at the event, which this year will take place from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July.
The first wave of line-up announcements also includes the likes of Metronomy, The Coral, The Pharcyde, Twin Atlantic, Cabbage, Hot 8 Brass Band, Loyle Carner, Don Letts, Omar Souleyman, M.O, Cate Le Bon, Nadia Rose, Akala, We Are Scientists and more.
Now in its its ninth year, a significant change will see Tramlines become an exclusively outdoor event, with the line-up spread out across three key stages at Ponderosa Park, Devonshire Green and Endcliffe Park’s Folk Forest. Festival Director Sarah Nulty explained the decision: “After each festival, we turn to our audience to find out what they’d like to see at the next event. The overwhelming feedback was that people wanted to see bigger acts on the Tramlines stages. By streamlining Tramlines to three outdoor stages, it’s meant we could deliver something really special.”
Weekend passes are available from just £38 plus booking fee at www.tramlines.org.uk.
