The Ghost - War Kids
12th Apr 2010
The Basics:
Hot new signings to Rob Da Bank’s Sunday Best label, this Danish duo are dishing out a catchy blend of vintage electro and breezy indie rock. Purportedly influenced by the likes of The Flaming Lips and The Strokes, they actually sound much more like Roxette (just like last month’s new on from Delays, funnily enough!)
The Verdict:
Yeah, it’s alright, as far as this sort of business goes. It’s certainly not objectionable, and if it was being blasted out across a field somewhere this summer, you could do worse than tap your toes to it. That’s about as far as it gets you though, as it’s very slight.
