Howler (with The Cast Of Cheers & Gross Magic)
26th Oct 2012 7:30pm
The NME magazine is the country's biggest weekly music magazine. Not only does it promote new bands left right and center, it also puts on some amazing gigs. The NME new music tour has given people the chance to see the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Maximo Park, Kasabian and more recently, Azelia Banks. This month sees the return of the tour and the line up is a host of the best up and comers. Headliners Howler have been championed by the magazine as the years brightest new hope, getting a rather tidy 8/10 for their debut album 'America Give Up.' Likened to a grungy Strokes, the band's live show is full of energy and a certified sweat fest.
Support comes from The Cast of Cheers, who play indie pop bangers and have already supported Two Door Cinema Club, Django Django and Blood Red Shoes.
Completing the bill are Brighton-based Gross Magic, the brain-child of the hugely talented Sam McGarrigle, whose blend of lo-fi nostalgia recalls the carefree adolescence of Beck and early Nirvana.
An amazing chance to see a host of the best newbies around.
