Why: Whilst you could be forgiven for thinking all the large national festivals have become a bit samey, you could certainly still spot Bestival in a crowd at a… well, at a festival I suppose. Rob da Bank’s labour of love keeps on getting bigger yet somehow retains the cozy, hippyish community vibe that made it stand out in the first place. You couldn’t imagine Leeds Fest incorporating a Soul Park, for ‘yoga, healing and meditation’. There’s also a full blown carnival on the Saturday afternoon and the theme for the entire weekend is Wildlife, encouraging people to shed their inhibitions get in touch with their primitive side. www.bestival.net/
