Fear Of Sharks at Tramlines
Fear Of Sharks have been tearing up venues up and down the country with their oik rock. Katie Memmott and Megan Habberfield had a conflab with them after their gig at West Street Live on Sunday.
How was your performance at Tramlines?
Andy - Yeah I really enjoyed it!
Tom - I had a great time!
A - I came off the stage a bit early, I got too excited...
T - My string broke so had to improvise which was not ideal!
How have you enjoyed Tramlines? Have you been able to catch any bands?
T - I've been checking out other bands, I saw Screaming Maldinis today they were pretty good.
Sam - I saw Ms Dynamite.
A - I'm gonna see Rolo Tomassi in a bit.
John - I went to see Friends of Batman yesterday.
T - And Chayser!
You're going to record an EP, tell us about that.
A - It's mainly comprised of our new stuff, we're experimenting. This time we know what we're doing.
T - We've got our own style.
A - We have quite a varying style, we've got heavy songs then we have really intricate light songs.
So apart from writing the new EP, have you got any more gigs planned?
T - I don't want to book anything until I have the physical copy of the EP in my hands, and we wanna make t-shirts as well, it's gonna take awhile to get it all together.
How do you feel about Tramlines as a part of the Sheffield music scene? Is it good to be able to play for your friends?
A - It's primarily made up of our friends that are in bands, I really try hard to make my friends come and see our band, there's a mutual respect in Sheffield .
