Rossi's
Set back off London Road, on Sharrow Lane, Rossi’s is a little hidden Italian gem.
With a beautiful recently re-decorated interior, painted walls and ceilings, authentic statues and Italian music, you really do feel as if you have stepped off London Road and into an Italian palace. Especially as you’re greeted by their smartly dressed doorman.
The Food
The extensive menu offers a delightful selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes.
We start with the Mare e Monte which really must be tasted to be believed (prawns, Neopolitan tomato sauce, garlic and mushrooms, covered in melted Mozzarella. Heavenly), and the Fritelle di pesce - homemade cod & salmon spicy fishcakes served with sweet chili dip that deliver the perfect combination of heat and flavour.
Mains of venison and prime fillet steak, both served with potatoes and fresh veg, followed and simply couldn’t be faulted. The Venison was from the specials menu, which gets refreshed at least every week.
It was all washed down by a lovely litre bottle of their delicious house red before we finished the feast with ice cream, strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries.
The Verdict
With perfect Italian ambience, fantastic high quality authentic Italian food and happy staff, Rossi’s is a hands down winner. Customer satisfaction is at the top of their list. We left satisfied… and then some.
This was our first time here, but it won’t be the last.
