Beer X

BeerX-tra Sheffield Beer Festival

Taking place at iceSheffield from March 16-19, the SIBA BeerX showcasing the the best of British brewing celebrates its fourth birthday.

On top of SIBA BeerX’s regular 30 metre bar, this year they will also host 20 individual brewery bars, with each brewery serving two different keg beers.

Nick Stafford, SIBA’s operations director, told Exposed: ‘We have visions for the growth of BeerX in years to come and our ‘craft keg village’ signals the beginning of this development.’

‘We are also looking at the possibility of adding an international flavour to this element of the festival, which will offer something new and unique for festival-goers and give us the opportunity to showcase some of the best global breweries alongside fantastic award-winning British beers.’

As well as plenty of opportunity for the public to sample the huge amount of beers on offer, the event will also combine SIBA’s AGM, a trade exhibition, seminars, keynote speakers and business awards for SIBA members throughout the week.

And as per usual there will be plenty of entertainment from the likes of former Inspiral Carpets lead singer Tom Hingley, soul/Motown aficionados Vernon Lewis & E-Maculate and Sheffield super group The Bootleggers.

Tickets are £10 on the door with discounts available for students, armed forces and CAMRA members.
