Third Angel & Sheffield Theatres: Partus

Sheffield Theatres and Third Angel have teamed up in new production Partus, which explores the every day miracle of birth.

As something that happens every minute of every day in every country of the world, Partus looks at the universal emotions and experiences of birth; the expectations, the exhaustion, the euphoria, shock, sadness, joy, pain, mess and hours upon hours of not just the mother’s time, but that of doctors and nurses too.

Third Angel tackle the myths, statistics and politics surrounding birth, utilising real stories and real conversations with mothers, fathers, midwives and obstetricians.

Combining drama, laughter, dancing, tears, love, singing and everything in between – you will never think about birth in the same way again.
